LAST DRIVER

Volunteer to drive older adults to their medical appointments.  This is a vital service that is greatly appreciated by our senior neighbors who no longer drive.  Click on the link below for a volunteer application. 

 

SATURDAY SERVANTS

Assist older adult homeowners with home maintenance, repair, and adaptation projects.  The focus of this program is to increase home safety with the ultimate goal of helping older adults live independently for as long as possible.  Projects include changing light bulbs, stabilizing or installing handrails, putting grab bars in showers, changing batteries in smoke detectors, clearing debris from outdoor walkways, etc.  Click on the link below for a volunteer application.

 

NEWSLETTER VOLUNTEER

Help LASM prepare its monthly newsletter.  This involves labeling, sealing, and sorting!  The newsletter is distributed to 500+ older adults living in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood and/or attending one of LASM’s five partner churches.  It contains important information about the programs and services of LASM as well as helpful information about community resources.  Mailings occur on the 4th Tuesday of the month at 11:00am.  Contact LASM Director at 314.647.4591 to join us at the next mailing!

 

Our Mission:  In keeping with the ministry of Christ, Lindenwood Senior Ministry seeks to enhance the quality of life of senior adults by providing meaningful volunteer experiences, services and programs that promote physical, mental, emotional  and spiritual health.  You do not have to be a member of a particular organization to participate in LASM.  We serve senior adults who need support to stay in their homes and remain engaged in their community.
