Calling all foodies! Our Cultural Dining Passport tour continues with a flavorful visit to Aya Sofia Restaurant at 6671 Chippewa Street!
Owners Chef Mehmet Yildiz and Alicia Aboussie opened Aya Sofia in the Lindenwood Park neighborhood in 2005. Originally from Turkey, Chef Mehmet dreamed of bringing Turkish cuisine to the United States, while Alicia, an architect and designer, created the restaurant’s romantic and luxurious interior.
Our visit will include a brief presentation about Aya Sofia’s inspiration and the owners’ Turkish heritage, followed by a delicious sampling of menu items. Come ready to discover new flavors, learn about Turkish culture, and enjoy good food and fellowship!
