Step away from the city and savor the charm of the countryside on our upcoming day trip. This relaxing and flavorful journey is the perfect blend of scenic views, local treats, and unique experiences.
Our first stop, nestled on 40 acres in Osage County, Lavender Rhapsody, a family-run lavender farm home to over 2,000 lavender plants. During our visit, we’ll meet the owners, hear the story behind the farm, and enjoy a cup of refreshing lavender lemonade and a lavender shortbread cookie.
Next, we’ll make a quick stop for a fun and memorable photo op at the World’s Largest Cow Bell in Belle, Missouri—a quirky roadside attraction that’s sure to make you smile (and yes, it really rings!).
A lunch of chicken alfredo, fresh salad, and breadsticks will be enjoyed at River’s Bend Grill. After lunch, we’ll visit Martha & Tom’s Farm in Owensville, home of Cool Cow Cheese. Here, we’ll meet the owners, learn about the history of their farm, and discover how their artisan cheese is made—from cow to creamery. This behind-the-scenes look will include a view of the cheese processing plant and samples of cheese.
