Come Join Us at VBS!
Join us as we explore Galatians 5:22-23 and reflect on the nine Fruit of the Spirit—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Throughout the week, pastors and staff from LASM’s partner churches will lead scripture reflections followed by activities that encourage connection, creativity, service, and spiritual growth.
Each session will focus on a different way to cultivate the Fruits of the Spirit:
Monday, July 20 | Abide in Christ | 9:00 a.m. – Noon
Storyline Southwest Church (6401 Scanlan Avenue)
Focus: Love, Joy, and Peace
Explore how staying connected to Christ helps these fruits grow within us. Activities include reflection, a church tour, discussion, and a gentle movement class with Eileen Kinsella.
Wednesday, July 22 | Walk in the Spirit | 9:00 a.m. – Noon
Timothy Lutheran Church (6704 Fyler Avenue)
Focus: Patience, Kindness, and Goodness
As we intentionally follow the guidance of the Holy Spirit, we will reflect on how patience, kindness, and goodness shape the way we care for ourselves and others. Activities will include a scripture reflection, church history and tour, connection through music, meeting Timothy Lutheran’s Comfort Dogs, Bible Trivia, and a service project.
Friday, July 24 | Submit to God | 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Lunch included)
Epiphany of Our Lord Catholic Church (6596 Smiley Avenue)
Focus: Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-Control
On our final day together, we will reflect on how allowing God’s Spirit to work within us transforms our hearts and strengthens our faith. Activities will include scripture, reflection, church history and tour, an Art Encounter with Melissa & Amanda from An Artful Faith, a creative project, and a fellowship lunch to celebrate our time together.
Come reconnect with the joy of learning, the gift of community, and the lifelong journey of growing in faith.
